Raw: Egypt's Nubian handicrafts, a treasure that should be looked after
Nubia is one of Egypt’s major ethnicity. The Nubian way of life and traditional products are full of work of art, painting, and primitive decorative jewelry. Nubian people make beads, baskets made of palm branches.
Nubia is a region along the Nile River, located in southern Egypt and northern Sudan. It was one of the earliest civilizations of ancient Africa, with a history that can be traced from at least 2000 B.C. .
The name "Nubia" is derived from that of the Noba people, nomads who settled the area in the 4th century. Through trade, old Nubia served as a link between Egypt and the rest parts of Africa.
